A Bit More From Haines

A few more looks at some scenery and oddities in Haines-

The Hammer Museum. Not much more to say.

Don't have an RV? Make your own. Then leave it somewhere, for years:
Practice your balance on a big rubber band. Use hiking sticks so you don't fall off:
Need a ride? Grab a bikeshaw:
Radio Shack seems to actually be housed in one:
A chair made from skis:
Touring can be done from classic cars:
A fishingboat in the harbor:
Haines from the dock:
And, finally, a gorgeous rainbow over the fiord:
If the weather cooperates, tomorrow we'll go to the Haines Fourth of July celebration -- a parade, a Ducky Raffle Race, Mud Volleyball, Pie Eating Contest, Nail Pounding Contest, and the not-to-be-missed Fire Hose Battle (with asterisk: "Event will take place if no fire call is received"), all followed by fireworks over the water. Should be fun!

Looking forward to our visit to Haines. We'll be sure to see all the things you're seeing. Thanks for the preview.
